Bangor Savings Bank awards Grant to Friends of Moosehorn Refuge
Bangor Savings Bank awarded $2000.00 grant to Friends of Moosehorn Refuge (FOMR) at the October meeting of FOMR as a result of the grant application written by Fred Hartman, former president of FOMR. The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation provides grants for communities of Maine and this was one of the three grants that were awarded in Washington County this quarter. FOMR is most appreciative of receiving this important grant and will use the monies in part to provide enhanced public participation in FOMR programs and activities in conjunction with Moosehorn Refuge and to better inform the public of the importance of Moosehorn Refuge to wildlife, to people and to the local economy. Specific uses of this grant will be developed over the next several monthly meetings of FOMR. Monthly FOMR meetings are the first Wednesday of the month (6:00 pm) at the refuge. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
