Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Moosehorn's 12th Annual Children's Fishing Derby was a great success, despite the relentless drizzle and cool temperatures. The derby was held on the Refuge at Headquarters Pond behind the main office of Cobscook Bay State Park. Bangor Savings Bank awarded $2000.00 grant to Friends of Moosehorn Refuge (FOMR) at the October meeting of FOMR as a result of the grant application written by Fred Hartman, former president of FOMR.
